Today, living marble means using, moulding it and designing the practical forms that serve our homes: old and contemporary combined, two inseparable values in designs that interpret the aesthetic of the unique and astonishing material, that comes from our Apuan Alps.
Now, Luce di Carrara is presenting a stone collection comprising both objects and furnishing systems: fine materials and products showing that, with all its expressive and functional variables, marble is not merely a material but the very reason behind these forms.
Marble is structure, surface and core component for both architecture and interior design: it has always belonged to the living culture and, above all, italian tradition, in this case that of Michelangeloís Apuan Alps.
Luce di Carrara marbles are unique in their variety, formats, processes and colour combinations thanks to Henrauxís outstanding craft and industrial skills which make everything possible.
Alongside Limited Editions such as Michael Anastassiadesí Miracle Chips, Solid Patters Tables by Scholten & Bajing and the ones for Salone del Mobile 2015 by Baldessari and Baldessari, the design collection develops in two directions, Living and Bathroom, with a number of cladding and flooring compositions created by international designers, based on the logic that spaces shape products and the design objects in the collection create a story in our homes, making them places where we want to live.
Marble is at the heart of every design that seeks a dialogue with tradition but speaking contemporary languages.
Michela and Paolo Baldessari, Alberto Meda, Francesco Meda, Lorenzo Damiani and Archea Associati Studio have designed collections and objects for Luce di Carrara, all different but versatile because they can dialogue with any stone material. Their functions are clear and they are centred on the absolute aesthetic value produced by nature and offered to mankind.
This is what Living Marble means to Luce di Carrara.
